Who is ready to lose some fat for the new year?! I know my clients and I are… yes even me! I went rouge a bit this fall and now it’s time to dial it back in.

Losing fat - or burning FAT and not sugar - is something you actually need to train your body to do. The number one thing I tell my clients is that in order to lose fat and keep it off, it needs to be a lifestyle. You must stop with these ideas that you can get it all done and lose weight then go back to doing what you were doing before. That is NOT the case.

So how do you actually lose fat and keep it off?

Let me share with you my top three tips to fat loss:

1. Gut Health

Did you know that gut bacteria can actually determine if a person is overweight or not? Yep, it’s true! Good gut bacteria can convert food molecules into compounds that prevent fat storage and inflammation while bad bacteria does the opposite. Having the right probiotic is key to building good gut bacteria and the right probiotic spores have the ability to convert starches, non-starch & FIBER into short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs). 2. Rotate Your Carbs

A very effective way to burn fat is to rotate your carbohydrate intake. Cycling your carbs is exactly what it sounds like - having low carbs on some days and high carbs on some days. This process can reset your metabolism to have you burn FAT instead of sugar. This is why this strategy is in all of my online bootcamps which get some amazing results for my clients. 3. Eat ENOUGH but at Certain Times

One of the biggest things I see when women come to me and are not getting the results they want, is that they don’t eat enough. They think that limiting and cutting calories will get them the weight loss they desire. But let me tell you, this is WRONG! Your body needs to be fueled in order to burn fat. You also need to consider when you are eating. The 6 meals a day concept is not necessarily the right way to lose fat. I recommend trying intermittent fasting.
