What you don't see in the mirror: Calves
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Nothing is a bigger confidence builder than the perfect heels. They bring an outfit together perfectly, and add a bit of a pop to your step (or a wobble if you haven’t worn them in a bit). There is this amazing feeling when you look at yourself in the mirror with heels on. Your legs look amazing! But by the end of the night, your feet are sore, your calves are killing you, and you know you’ll regret the choice the next day. What if we could have those amazing legs every day without having to put on heels. It’s possible! The reason not everyone has amazing calves is because people forget what they can’t see. They don’t think about working their calves. And that’s a big problem.
Although we may not put a lot of effort into our calves, and we don’t isolate them often, it is something we should be working. Our calves help us with balance, jumping and with running.
So what can we do to isolate our calves?
First thing we need to remember is that we will need to do more reps with less weight, working closer to fatigue rather than few and heavy. Second, don’t leave it for the end. Work your calves early in your workout, or in the middle, but don’t leave it for the end.

When doing all of these exercises, change the positioning of your toes (neutral, pigeon toed etc) - this will work the different areas of the calf and give you that long lean look you are wanting!
Having well toned calves can make you feel like you’re wearing heels every day!
