Foods That Reduce Inflammation

Inflammation is the hidden cause behind many of today’s most common diseases: diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, IBS, and asthma. As an underlying cause to so much pain and discomfort, there are ways to fight inflammation in the body so that you can feel your absolute best.

These foods are your best bet against inflammation and discomfort:

Celery
Celery helps to improve blood pressure and cholesterol. It is both antioxidant and anti inflammatory, so it will help battle inflammation in the body.

Beets
The Betalain in beets gives them their deep red shade and helps fight off inflammation in the body.

Broccoli
Broccoli is packed with vitamins and antioxidants that battle inflammation while reducing the risk of cancer.

Blueberries
Flavonoid is the powerhouse nutrient found in blueberries that will give inflammation a kick in the pants.

Salmon
Salmon is chock full of omega-3 fatty acids, which are huge anti inflammatories.

Inflammation in a healthy body is your body’s way of protecting and healing itself. However, when a body has too much inflammation, the result can be incredible discomfort or more significant health issues. Eating foods that help fight inflammation will go a long way to improving both your quality of life and overall health.
