Its for more than just squats!

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]smithPeople think that the smith machine is only for squats, and there are people who agree with that. But I’m here to tell you to use it for more than just squats! One of the main reasons we use the smith machine is for safety. It has built in measures to keep us safe when we’re lifting heavy. And it also helps us keep our posture when we’re lifting heavy. And although it is great for squats, you can get a great full body workout with a smith machine.

So what can you do other than squats? Pull up the bench! Work some chest presses, target your triceps by changing your elbow positions. Work some Deadlifts, or Military Press or bent over rows. Spice up your squats... Use a bosu to add some balance work to your routine. Isolate your glutes and work pelvic lifts from kneeling.

Just because a piece of equipment was created with one purpose, doesn’t mean that we can’t use it for a host of other things. Think outside the box, or rack, and find new ways to work different muscle groups. And save some time from moving around to other pieces of equipment.
