Double Chocolate Brownie Bars!
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I am a chocolate addict. So much that I could eat a whole batch of brownies or cookies in one setting, which is not good when you are a personal trainer and trying to model a healthy lifestyle.
When I heard about these gluten-free, high-protein, high-fiber, and low-calorie brownie bars, I JUMPED at the chance to test them out! A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to try the the pancake mix and chocolate chip brownie bars, but who wouldn’t want to try DOUBLE CHOCOLATE BROWNIE BARS? My main worry was that I would be able to tell they were “healthy” and that I wouldn’t like them – just like any other “protein bar.” But I was wrong.
The Paka Baking Mixes from Silver Fern Brand are so incredibly easy to make! With limited ingredients needed, it took me about 5 minutes to whip them up and get them in the oven. This is PERFECT for a busy working mom of three!
After about 10-12 minutes in the oven, they come out absolutely perfect and the house smells incredible. The kids came running when they could smell mama was baking! I let them cool for about 15 minutes and slowly cut them into squares and enjoyed.
I cannot rave enough about these products. The baking mixes have naturally lower amounts of sugar, higher nutrient density, and lower net carbs compared to traditional baking mixes and they contain no genetically engineered ingredients.
These brownie bars curbed my craving for chocolate, and I felt satisfied after just one bar, which is not typical for me. Not to mention, I feel 100% confident in feeding them to my children for an after-dinner treat.
I can also enjoy these treats on my low-carb days without feeling guilty at all! They fit my macros, all while teaching my kids how to live a healthy lifestyle and make smart choices. So even if you are carb cycling or following a IIFYM lifestyle, they are perfect for you!
